Digital photos are taken every day. Those photos should be backing up on a regular basis online with an online storage cloud like Smugmug.

Years ago when I wanted to setup a website and have online storage for photos, I researched many options. I came across Smugmug online storage which offers it for photos and galleries, website design and online store. What made Smugmug stand out was the fact that it has unlimited and secure photo storage.

I take a lot of photos for myself and others like family, friends, and clients. Each camera gets better, which then means the file sizes get larger with better quality. The fact that I can have unlimited space means I can upload everything and not have to worry about losing space or having to upgrade accounts or find a new online cloud.

Smugmug online storage is safe, easy to use, and lasts forever.

I created my website, online galleries, and photos storage with Smugmug and never looked back. I can customize themes, edit galleries, and more. They even have an app for easy upload.

I can add as many photos as I want and separate each into various galleries that fit. I have different galleries for nature, landscape, waterscape, client photos which I can keep secure and private for them, models, flowers, architecture, events, sports, art, sky, moon, animals and much more. Within each category of galleries, I can create specific ones by type, date, etc. The possibilities are endless with Smugmug. I highly recommend them for your online cloud for backing up your photos that you don’t want to lose.

For years, I had friends and family tell me that I should sell stock photos of my work, especially textures.

I joined one site years ago and then last year I finally joined Shutterstock. The amount of photos on shutterstock is incredible so I tried to upload images that are not as common as others they have. I went for a different look that creatives would be able to use to not look like everyone else’s work.

Here is a recommended bag by Think Tank Photo that I have used.

Last year I was on a search for a laptop bag. It needed to fit a 13.5″ computer along with it’s charging cable, pen and mouse.

I looked at all kinds of brands until I found Think Tank. They had (and still currently have) various colors and sizes.

After looking back and forth between them, I finally chose the Think Tank Retrospective Laptop Case 13L. The Think Tank Retrospective 30 was runner-up as it could carry a camera with a tablet.

The laptop case fits the computer perfectly with all the accessories. The material is treated to be weather-resistant and it includes a rain cover.

She recently wanted to help those that were affected by Hurricane Irma and the earthquakes in Mexico. She made a series of work about Latin women who worked hard towards their dream or goal and left a mark. She collected all the art and turned it into a book.

All the proceeds will help those people in Puerto Rico and Mexico.

Thank You Box Card for Tuesdays Together Miami Leader

Tuesdays Together is a gathering of creatives that was started by the Rising Tide Society. There are several chapters all over the US. We meet once a month on, you guessed it, Tuesdays. Each month has a topic set by the founder and team of leaders of the Rising Tide Society.

The group photo on the left side of the card shown below is by Erica Melissa.

I am part of the Miami chapter. Our leader Kristy, from the husband & wife photography team Kristy & Vic Photography, is an amazing person and friend. I wanted to get her and her husband Vic a thank you card for all that they do for our group.

I didn’t want a store bought card but a more personal and one-of-a-kind card. So I asked mt mom who makes handmade cards. I gave her the ideas and photos I wanted in the card and she cut them out and put it together.

I included 3 of our group photos in the card. 2 of them are from the Tuesdays Together and 1 is from the Your Story Workshop that Kristy, Maureen, Monique, and Erica put together.

We all love donuts and coffee so I just had to implement that in the card. Before they even opened the card, Vic just happened to ask “Is there a donut in it?” I was smiling in my head because there was. So when they opened it, he was excited as there was the donut.

I love how the card came out that I just had to take photos of it, not only for my mom for her portfolio but for me to have memories of it.
