NFT have become very popular over the past year. I read a lot about them in order to understand what they were and how to produce them. There are several websites out where you can buy, trade and own them. Many have fees associated with either up front fees or after they are sold.

Minifigure Nature Photographer

I decided to make my own. I started with photographs then introduced my drawings and even made some videos. The videos are made of my photos or my drawings.

I signed up with several of the NFT websites but I like Mintable the best so far as I can list my NFTs gasless without fees up front. Mintable uses Ethereum or ETH cryptocurrency. It just recently added Immutable X to their NFT platform.

I am still selling my photographs as prints and not just digital NFT items. You can learn about my favorite kind of photography on my blog post.

Check out my Minifigure NFT that looks just like me as a Nature Photographer. I found this online one day and just had to buy it. It came with the camera and everything. So of course I had to take photos posing by the water.

Scroll down to see some of my favorite NFTs that I have created so far. You can see all of them on Mintable.

I started filming my drawings so I decided to turn them into a video NFT. Here is Headache Scribbles in Motion.

(function (w, d, s, o, f, js, fjs) { w[“Mintable_Widget”] = o; w[o] = w[o] || function () { (w[o].q = w[o].q || []).push(arguments); }; (js = d.createElement(s)), (fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]); js.id = o; js.src = f; js.async = 1; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); })(window, document, “script”, “widget”, “https://unpkg.com/mintable-widget/dist/index.js”); widget(“init”, { targetElementId: “mintable-widget” }); widget(“shownft”, { size:”full”,ids:[“videos/listing/HrVcoJKGiGOhSNV”,”art/listing/MHBgzYw75LNdF06″,”art/listing/uUt0oZaisx6IfAu”,”art/listing/OeyeBYc9aX6jjkh”,”art/listing/-N5-FFSDlf9W15e”,”collectibles/listing/RUgO1FCgMTtyTaS”,”art/listing/I9SlrYr9sEKmxQ3″,”art/listing/WgvJSt0S-lj16pZ”],fontFamily:”Lato”,backgroundColor:”#ffffff”,fontColor:”#2d2d2d”,subtitleColor:”#727272″,buttonColor:”#099890″,buttonTextColor:”#ffffff”,boxShadow:true });

Do you have any NFTs? What kind did you get? What style are you looking own?

Prints are my favorite way to view photos. I love photographing nature, landscapes, sunsets, beaches and much more. I experience peace being surrounded by nature. With prints, you can surround your home and office with all the beauty of the world.

“Prints are photographic or motion-picture copies, especially made from negatives.” – Merriam-Webster

I feel that everyone should see the beauty in nature so I capture it with photography. I believe that South Florida has so much to see on a daily basis that you can miss it as life passes. My work captures those places and moments in time. I feel that all other places have the same heart and soul as South Florida does. My dream is to travel anywhere and everywhere I can and take photos of all the places too.

With digital photography, you rely on viewing the photos on screens like monitors, tablets, phones, and laptops. It’s a great way to view lots of photos at once. But if you really want to enjoy the photos in a new, yet old way, print them. I say new because the photographs are not instantly printed or developed to be viewed like they were with film cameras.

You can see more photos at my website https://www.AnaGarciaPhoto.com. In the photo galleries, all the nature, landscapes, waterscapes, animals, etc., have the option to purchase as a print of any kind.

Photos that are printed can be enjoyed without the use of electricity. They can be in an album, in a frame, book, etc. Prints can be on paper, either lustre, glossy, or matte. You can also have them printed on metal, canvas, acrylic, and wood. You can have them in plastic sheets in a photo album or make a photobook.

I love the look of metal and canvas prints. Depending on what the photo looks like is how I choose the medium. The metal prints don’t need glass with the frame as it has its own look. The glass would take away from it. Just like canvas prints. They wouldn’t need glass with the frame either.

All of these types of mediums work for home decor or office decor. Maybe you have a beach house or want your place to feel like you live at the beach so you want beach decor. I have my own photos as well as others work at my place to get that coastal decor look and feel.

I went on vacation to South Carolina where I took lots of landscapes, waterscapes and more. You can view a few here.

Everglades National Park is one of my favorite national parks to visit. It is the largest tropical wilderness in the United States. It is also the third largest national park in the contiguous United States. I love how I can visit the park without having to drive for too long. It is split with a northern section that you access through Miami or Everglades City and southern section that you access through Homestead.

I try to visit the Florida Everglades once a year, if not more.

I always take a camera or maybe two with me. I want to be able to capture all of its beauty like alligators, birds, cypress trees, mangroves and much more. My GoPro Camera is usually mounted on my Peak Design Capture which is attached to my bag. The bag I used that day is the Peak Design EveryDay Backpack. The GoPro will film my walks as I photograph using my Nikon DSLR Camera.

A lot of these photos are from the main entrance of the park in Homestead, FL. There are several hiking, walking, and canoe trails, as well as campsites. If you visit one of the visitor centers, you can look at the maps and find out more about each one. They tell you the level of difficulties each trail is, meaning how far of a distance and estimate length of time they take.

The last full moon of 2018 happened on December 22, 2018. It is also referred to as the full cold moon or just cold moon as it happens on the first day of Winter.

Winter Solstice is the shortest day and longest night of the year. It happened on December 21st, 2018 at 5:28pm EST. The moon was almost full at the time it happened but it was quite cloudy so I couldn’t get any clear photos of it. I was able to take photos of the full cold moon on the day it was its fullest which is what I really wanted. It also marks the last one of the year so it is a nice way to end 2018.

Full Cold Moon

lest which is what I really wanted. It also marks the last one of the year so it is a nice way to end 2018.

I’ve taken many photos of the moon for many years now. This year I bought myself a super telephoto lens so I can get those extra close shots. The camera I used is the Nikon D800 with the Nikon 200-500mm lens mounted on a Vanguard Alta Pro 263AB Tripod.

The moon rotates just like the Earth does. Today my mom asked me if I have ever noticed that my photos of the moon are of its different sides. So I looked back at a few of those and guess what, I do! Isn’t that cool?!

Tell me in a comment below. Can’t wait to hear about your stories. There are some events that happen once in a lifetime and won’t occur again until the next generations to come. I like to capture those as I may not get to see it again but others can enjoy my photos many years later. Thank you for visiting.

Ever wondered what photography gear to buy? I’m here to help you by talking about what I like to use or have used and recommend. You don’t need to buy all of it. You really only need a few pieces depending on what you actually want to do.

Disclaimer: Some of the links are affiliate links and may take you to a support site. This means if you click on certain links and purchase their product or service, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Other links are referrals that I have for the products I own or use.

Let’s start off with cameras. There is no right or wrong answer when choosing a camera brand. They are all great. You can say the same thing about cars and other items. I currently use Nikon but there is nothing wrong with Canon or Sony.

Amazon.com Camera, Photo & Video

I started off with a Nikon 35mm SLR film camera then worked my way to a Nikon DX crop DSLR and eventually upgraded to a Nikon FX Full Frame DSLR. Start with what you can afford, a camera is only as good as the user.

Nikon D810 FX D-SLR Camera Body

Most professional DSLR cameras are sold with just the body, so you will need to buy lenses. Some companies will package the body with the lens like on Adorama or B&H Photo Video.

The faster lens are better overall with low light, hand-held, and more. And with that, they will cost more as well. 1.2 would be the fastest then 1.4, 1.8, 2.8 in most lenses.

Nikon 24-70mm F/2.8 Lens

Nikon 50mm f/1.8 Lens

Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 Lens

Nikon 85mm f/1.8 Lens

Nikon 105mm Micro f/2.8 Lens

I love photography gear, gadgets and all other kinds of gear. I can talk about it forever. Always wanting to know what is out there and learn about it.

Depending on the photography you are doing, you may need an external flash. I prefer the Nikon one to use with my Nikon camera but there are great off brand flashes that work with your type of camera, like the Yongnuo.

Nikon SB-900 Speedlight Flash

Nikon SB-910 Speedlight Flash

Camera bags, oh what could I say about camera bags… love them. There are so many choices, it is hard to choose but sometimes you need different ones depending on the occasion, event, and how much gear you need to carry.

My latest travel backpack is the Peak Design Travel Line 45L Backpack + Packing Tools. Read more about it on this blog post: (update: it is now available on their website and not just as a preorder)

https://atomic-temporary-108369924.wpcomstaging.com/peak-design-travel-line-backpack/

Other options from Peak Design that I own and love are:

Everyday Sling 10L

Everyday Backpack 20L

On my trip to Charleston, South Carolina, I wanted to go light so I used the Everyday Sling bag.

Peak Design also makes other great gear like straps like the slide, clips, and more. The clip is called the Capture in which it can carry your camera on your bag, waist and more. Check out how I mount my gopro to the capture.

More gear recommendations to come soon.

Thank you for reading. Let me know what you use in a comment below.

Using a GoPro on Peak Design Capture Clip is an awesome way to quickly be hands-free from your camera to use other things.

I use it for my GoPro on Peak Design capture clip to get first-person perspective videos and to mount my DSLR when I’m not using a sling.

It was a cloudy morning but that just added some moodiness to my photos. It looked like it was going to rain out in the Atlantic Ocean.

GoPro on Peak Design

I’ve been using my GoPro lately to capture videos of me walking and photographing on the go. It captures my view along with my camera in the shot a few times. I mount the GoPro on Peak Design – Capture which is on my Peak Design EveryDay Sling Bag or EveryDay Backpack.

The beach had quite a lot of seaweed all along the shore. This is usually not the case for this beach in the past.

I love watching the shorebirds waiting for food to come up along the shore. They are always so entertaining. They are very aware of their surroundings. They quickly move as someone comes close to them.

The GoPro on Peak Design is probably one of my favorite things.

Digital photos are taken every day. Those photos should be backing up on a regular basis online with an online storage cloud like Smugmug.

Years ago when I wanted to setup a website and have online storage for photos, I researched many options. I came across Smugmug online storage which offers it for photos and galleries, website design and online store. What made Smugmug stand out was the fact that it has unlimited and secure photo storage.

I take a lot of photos for myself and others like family, friends, and clients. Each camera gets better, which then means the file sizes get larger with better quality. The fact that I can have unlimited space means I can upload everything and not have to worry about losing space or having to upgrade accounts or find a new online cloud.

Smugmug online storage is safe, easy to use, and lasts forever.

I created my website, online galleries, and photos storage with Smugmug and never looked back. I can customize themes, edit galleries, and more. They even have an app for easy upload.

Within each category of galleries, I can create specific ones by type, date, etc. The possibilities are endless with Smugmug. I highly recommend them for your online cloud for backing up your photos that you don’t want to lose.

Earlier this year I went on a trip to Charleston, South Carolina. I was mainly in the historic district area.

The photos I added to this blog is just a small portion of the places I passed by and visited in Charleston. Everywhere I went was walking distance to the hotel I stayed at, which made it very convenient to not have to uber/lyft/taxi to places.

It was January time so the trees either had no leaves or various colors of leaves, which makes it great as being in South Florida, I either see green, brown or nothing at all.

I was lucky enough to be able to take photos with just one car in front of the buildings. The street wasn’t busy either with cars driving by so it made it that much better and safer.

The moon is such a cool object to look at up in the night sky.

Whenever there is a special event going on with the moon, I like to hear about it so I can see it with my own two eyes; and of course capture it with my camera. I recently purchased an super zoom lens so I went out that night to get the moon close up.

The moon was at 90% this night so it was almost completely full. It didn’t bother me that I couldn’t see it full for these photos as it was still a beautiful night.

You can see more details like the surface and craters as you get closer.

The last image below has the moon close up as much as my lens can produce. It was a purchase well spent being able to capture something so far away and make it look like you were quite close. I was ecstatic to see how well they turned out and not lose any quality as I zoomed in. If you love astrophotography, I highly recommend this Nikon 200-500mm lens.

Did you see the Super Blue Blood Moon earlier this year? See how it looked here:

When I’m not looking up at the sky, I’m also photographing beautiful people to document those special moments in their lives. Such as this couple.

Fireworks are mainly seen twice a year. First one is on New Years Eve through the night and morning for January 1st and second one on July 4th. The Fourth of July, which is Independence Day in the United States, is a federal holiday celebrated each year on July 4. The USA adopted the Declaration of Independence in 1776. This year is the 242nd anniversary. Americans celebrate with displays of fireworks, whether it is just a few small ones with your family at your house or the cities put on a big show with the professional kind.

I love watching the displays of fireworks as you never know what it is going to look like. There are many like each time but they might explode differently.

The big bursts of colors are probably might favorite.

This one resembles a flower. Do you agree?

The ones that are green definitely catch my attention because green is my favorite color. How about you?

The tight burst is excellent with these. It looks so awesome.

Look at how they sparkle in the night sky. Isn’t it so pretty and cool at the same time?

There was quite a lot going on with this one. It almost didn’t fit in the frame of my photo.

Remember to always be safe around them. Keep your distance and watch them carefully. Keep kids at an even safer distance.

Thank you for visiting, reading and looking at my photos. I hope you enjoyed it where you can imagine being there at the time I was and hear the small explosions as they light up the sky.

A lot of these from this Fourth of July remind me of some of the flowers in this blog post from April.
