Flowers in Mother Nature are so pretty. There is so much beauty all around us, from big to small. Flowers is one of those beauties. I love looking at the various colorful flowers all around nature, especially in South Florida.
Flowers come in all different shapes, sizes, and colors. A popular one near the beach towns are hibiscus. They happen to be one of my favorites as I have seen common ones as well as hybrids.
The hybrids are a combination of of species. I have seen some unique colors as shown in some of the photos here. Some examples of colors are white, pink, purple, orange, red and combination of colors.
One of my first lenses was a macro lens. I chose a macro so I can take close up photos of flowers. The macro lens allows me to get in real close to the detail. It is amazing to see it up close. From far away, you would have never known they have all that detail in nature.
Do you have favorite flowers? Do you have your own garden? What kind of flowers or plants do you have in your garden?
This yellow flower with gray foliage is called Dusty Miller. Dusty Miller is known for its silver-gray foliage. I thought this was the coolest thing to see that I had to research it’s name and learn about it.
Flowers can really brighten someone’s day. When you see one, you can’t help but smile and admire the beauty that nature provides us all around.
I just met this young woman who is a volunteer for non-profit in which she is “repurposing event blooms into beautiful bouquets to brighten the days of people in need of a smile”. You can find her on Facebook and Instagram: Blooms4Smiles
I think that is a wonderful idea because you can a second use of all those pretty blooms from one event to then bring happiness to someone else on another day that could use it. Most of all, she is doing it at the kindness of her own heart.
I love printing photos as just looking at photos from a screen is just not the same, don’t you think? Also it gives it a better feeling when you can hold the print in your hands and then get it framed, hang them on your walls, or place them on your desk.
You can purchase a print of one of these flowers and more at: https://www.anagarciaphoto.com/browse
Besides looking down at the ground, I also like to look up at the sky to see the moon.
